Omegle
Status: Shut down by its founder on 8 Nov 2023. The omegle.com domain currently serves a different app whose operator we have not verified.
Operating alternatives:
- Chatroulette – The original stranger-roulette site (CR Services AG) with 1-on-1 video, its own iOS & Android apps and an 'adults only' notice on the homepage.
- OmeTV – Large random-cam chat that works in the browser and on Android; homepage shows a start button without a login prompt.
- Uhmegle – Omegle-style anonymous text or video chat in the browser; the site served a bot check to our automated browser, so details are from its own description.
- Emerald Chat – Browser-only 1-on-1 video and text chat aimed at making friends; shows a login prompt and a Premium tier on its homepage.
